Effective Studying Methods

Students learn scientifically proven study methods that actually improve results.

Many students believe studying should focus on note-taking or re-reading the textbook.
This can feel productive, but it only builds familiarity of the material, not real understanding.
In physics, success comes from applying knowledge to new problems, not just recalling information.
Therefore, most of your time should be spent solving questions, even before you think you’re ready!


When attempting questions, students often struggle with the discomfort of not seeing the answer immediately.
In reality, this is a normal and essential part of learning physics. Progress comes through trial and error,
reflection, and staying patient while exploring different approaches.


In each lesson, I guide students through this process, supporting them in learning how to
persevere through challenging exam questions, instilling them with confidence that they
will be able to keep going until they find the right answer

Weekly Feedback

Students receive weekly feedback to help them stay on top of their studying. We’ll have a shared Notion page where we:

Hi, I’m Kiran! I’ve been tutoring Maths & Physics full-time for the last 10 years since I graduated from UCL in 2016 with an MSci in Physics. During this time I’ve given thousands of hours of one-to-one A-level Physics, Maths and Further Maths tuition.
